Do you need vaccinations?

Our practice nurses can provide travel health advice and may be able to offer some or all of the necessary immunisations at the surgery.

Please arrange a telephone appointment for a travel consultation at least 6-8 weeks before departure. Vaccines need time to take effect and some may require a course over several weeks at a separate travel clinic. If you require any vaccines or medication not provided by the NHS, you will need to contact an alternative private provider. We do not endorse any private providers but CityDoc is in the Ashford area.

Please click here for advice specific to your travel destination.

If you have full access to the NHS App you will be able to see a list of the vaccinations you have already had.

Medications for Flight Anxiety

The surgery will no longer be able to provide Diazepam or similar drugs for flight anxiety.

'Flight anxiety does not come under the remit of General Medical Services as defined in the GP contract and so we are no obliged to prescribe for this.

Patients who still wish to take Benzodiazepines for flight anxiety are advised to consult with a private GP or travel clinic.'
